I Used to Love to Watch Old Movies

I used to love to watch old movies

Shadows and light would dance

Within the frame of my little TV

The hero with his hat so strong

His dame with her love so pure

I’d sit on my couch and watch

For hours, sometimes days

To discover myself in that world

The light from the box would dance

On my wall, so eerie

I sometimes couldn’t move

A gunshot, a scream

And my eyes would jump with glee.

I used to love to watch old movies

But some guy just stole my TV.
